  Special Communication and Technics Department of Special State Protection Service organizes the Presidential Communication and Special Communication. Special Communication and Technics Department carries out establishment and development of Internet segment for state authorities according to the Decree of December 29, 2004 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Administration of GOV.AZ domain” as per Decree of Cabinet of Minister of March 31, 2006. Allocation of Internet resources of state authorities and also access of these bodies to the Internet are provided via the   “AZSTATENET” network formed by Special Communication. For this purpose central servers of “AZSTATENET” network have been installed and high-level protection measures have been taken. For the stable and high-quality connection state authorities have been provided with Fiber Optic cable tray.
Besides, for reliable radio communication for state bodies in extraordinary cases radio communication system up to TETRA standards were established. This radio communication system allows to establish reliable radio communication on Absheron peninsula and along export oil pipeline in the territory of Azerbaijan.
